“Connected by Legacy. Driven by Purpose.”
On Saturday, July 25, 2026, history was made as St. Andrew Technical High School International Partners & Associates (SIPA) officially launched during an inspiring evening of fellowship, celebration, and renewed commitment to our beloved alma mater.
Held at The Grand Citadel & Event Space in Queens, New York, the Launch & Fundraising Gala brought together members of the global STATHS family, including alumni, educators, supporters, community leaders, and friends for an unforgettable night dedicated to advancing the future of St. Andrew Technical High School.
The evening’s defining moment came during the keynote address delivered by our Main Guest Speaker, Chairman Robert H.P. Hill, JP, Chairman of the Board of Management of St. Andrew Technical High School and Chief Executive Officer of the Kingston & St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC).
Chairman Hill announced that the property located directly in front of St. Andrew Technical High School is now under the stewardship of the Kingston & St. Andrew Municipal Corporation and has been secured under his leadership for the benefit of St. Andrew Technical High School. This landmark achievement represents years of vision, perseverance, and dedicated leadership and provides an unprecedented opportunity to support the school’s long-term growth and development.
For SIPA, this announcement marks Phase One of a much larger vision. With the land now secured, we stand ready to work collaboratively with the Board of Management, the school administration, the Kingston & St. Andrew Municipal Corporation, the Ministry of Education, alumni organizations, corporate partners, and other stakeholders to support the development of a modern multipurpose sports and community facility that will benefit generations of STATHS students.
Chairman Hill also announced that the roadway leading to the school will be named in honor of Mr. John Austin Holmes, STATHS’ founding Principal, ensuring that his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
The evening was further distinguished by the presence of Dr. Worrel Hibbert, Principal of St. Andrew Technical High School, who delivered the Principal’s Address, reaffirming the importance of collaboration between the school and its global alumni community.
The event also demonstrated the strength of the global STATHS family. Chapter representatives from Jamaica, Canada, Northeast USA, Southeast USA, South Florida, 78 & Friends and other alumni networks were in attendance, while the United Kingdom Chapter conveyed its best wishes for the event. Their support reflected the unity and shared commitment that continue to define the STATHS community worldwide.
On behalf of the Trustees and Members of SIPA, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Chairman Robert H.P. Hill, JP, Principal Dr. Worrel Hibbert, our sponsors, donors, volunteers, performers, vendors, and everyone whose support contributed to the success of this historic occasion. We also thank the leadership and members of the various STATHS alumni chapters for demonstrating that we are truly one STATHS family united by a common purpose.
Guided by our shared values of Honour, Diligence, and Service, we thank you for believing in the vision.
Thank you for being part of history.
Connected by Legacy. Driven by Purpose.
